Welcome to my garden!
I have been making visual art for as long as I can remember. I love the natural world, and I approach art making as a form of meditation. Drawing and painting from life reminds me to look closely at, and reflect with gratitude on, the intricate beauty of the world we inhabit, and I hope my art does this for others.
I believe that when we cultivate an awareness of our inherent connection to the earth, we find peace. We come home. We find balance and acceptance, and self-compassion in the difficult seasons, resting in the knowledge that change is the nature of all things.
My work is an invitation to come home in that way. To stop and take a moment to appreciate the beauty, the mystery, the simultaneous complexity and simplicity of a leaf, a petal, the curve of a dancing tree, a snow covered hillside. To take a breath and feel the rhythm of your own body with gratitude and inspiration.
